Bed&Breakfast

The latest Oqaatsut event is a Bed & Breakfast accommodation opportunity in the heart of mother nature in the small classic Inuit settlement Oqaatsut having a beautiful location and stunning views of the very settlement, Disko Bay and Oqaatsut Bay. This new B & B pearl is located right next to Hotel Nordlys.

The residence itself is a classic settlement house with ground and first floor and sloping walls. The house consists of entrance hall, kitchen, well equipped with kitchen utensils, and has 2 rooms, 1 double room and 1 single room. The double room has its own south-facing terrace. On the 1st floor there is 1 double room. In the double rooms there are 2 beds measuring 90×200 cm which form a double bed, but can be separated into 2 single beds, if desired.

The rooms are relatively large and are well equipped with fixtures/furniture and there is TV. There is bed linen and a towel for each bed.

In addition, there is 1 common toilet facility on the ground floor, where there is also a possibility of wash. The toilet itself is a dry closet, which all the houses have in the settlement. The dry closet is being emptied every day. There are no bathing facilities at the Bed & Breakfast itself. If the guests wish to take a bath, this can be done in the settlement’s service house, located approx. 150 meters from the house. The service house is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm.

Guests also have the opportunity to make their own breakfast, etc. in the kitchen. It is also possible to have breakfast for a fee in Hotel Nordlys where internet access can be purchased if required. The hotel is only approx. 100 meters from the Bed & Breakfast house.

Close to the house there is an open playground for children with swings, etc., which are also used by the little children of the settlement.

Daily selected excursions are arranged via Hotel Nordlys. Please note the excursions on the hotel’s notice board in the hallways.
